Welcome to Brave Nation!

Established in 1947, Community ISD has been serving the students and families in southeast Collin County for 75 years. CISD attendance boundaries spread over 89 square miles and encompass the towns of Copeville, Josephine, Lavon and Nevada.

CISD is home to over 4,700 students attending our six schools: Dodson Elementary (PreK-5), Roderick Elementary (PreK-5), NeSmith Elementary (PreK-5), McClendon Elementary (PreK-5, ESL program), Edge Middle School (6-8), and Community High School (9-12). Two more schools will open in August 2024 - Ellis Elementary (PreK-5) and Community Trails Middle School (6-8).

We believe in the Traits of a Brave - Generosity, Passion, Humility, and Wisdom.
