Community ISD Forms Facility Naming Committee

With the construction of Community Elementary #3 nearing completion and the projected need for the former Edge facility to remain an active campus next year, the Community ISD Board of Trustees has called for the formation of a Facility Naming Committee. This committee will be made up exclusively of the alumni and retired teachers of Community ISD. Anyone living within Brave Nation may submit suggestions on what these facilities should be called, but only those who graduated from or formerly worked at Community ISD will be able to be on the committee.

If you are an alumni of the school or a retired staff member and want to be on the committee, please reach out to Cooper Welch at info@communityisd.org as soon as possible. The deadline to sign up for the committee is December 3.

To submit a suggestion, please use the attached form. Only names submitted via the official form will be considered by the committee, and all submissions must be in by December 3.

Once the December 3 deadline has been reached for submissions, the committee will compile all suggestions and rank them on December 10. Finalists will then be presented to the CISD Board of Trustees for a vote in the January 2022 board meeting.
