Once a Brave Always a Brave

The Once a Brave, Always a Brave tradition was established in 2014 as a way to celebrate our seniors and provide an opportunity for them to share what it means to be a Brave with our kindergartners as they begin their education journey. Each fall the Community ISD Education Foundation purchases a t-shirt personalized with the class graduation year as a gift for every student in kindergarten and 12th grade.

On Thursday, November 29, 2018 #OnceABraveAlwaysABrave t-shirts were handed out in a senior assembly at Community High School and the class of 2019 received some powerful wisdom from CISD Superintendent Dr. Roosevelt Nivens about legacy and success. That same morning, a group of seniors traveled to McClendon Elementary and NeSmith Elementary to meet with the kindergarten students and share a message about what it means to be a BRAVE.

Thank you to the Community ISD Education Foundation for sponsoring this wonderful tradition and for supporting our students through scholarships and teacher grants.
