During the third full week of October each year, National School Bus Safety Week is designed to promote school bus safety throughout the school district. On October 22 and 23 the elementary campuses joined forces with the Community ISD school bus drivers to help students conduct school bus evacuation drills and learn basic bus rider safety tips. The students learned about proper behavior on the bus, as well as the different safety features including the first aid kit and fire extinguisher. Students also observed how the emergency exits on the window and the roof would be used, and got to practice exiting out the back emergency door of the bus. Thank you to our CISD transportation team for conducting this important safety drill with our Braves.
