Student Spotlight Traits of a Brave: Passionate

Meet Madysen, a 3rd grade Brave at McClendon Elementary. She demonstrates the Passionate Trait of a Brave when she learns more, does more, loves others and finishes strong. She describes passion as when she “puts her whole heart into something she really loves,” like gymnastics. Her teacher, Mrs. Christensen, nominated Madysen because of her passion. “Madysen spends countless hours in the gym practicing and competing and still manages to balance school and friends,” said Mrs. Christensen.

Madysen practices four nights a week and is a level 4 gymnast. She works hard to learn new skills and prepare for competitions. When she is not doing gymnastics she likes to learn about science because she says, "the experiments are fun and exciting.” Her teacher is proud to have Madysen in her class this year and enjoys seeing the passion she has towards everything she does. Recently, Mrs. Christensen and a few other teachers from McClendon took time to go support Madysen at one of her gymnastic competitions.

Thank you Madysen for demonstrating the importance of being passionate and bringing an enthusiasm to learning, both in the classroom and in the gym.

We love to see the passion in each of our students and staff members at Community ISD when they #LearnMore #DoMore #LoveOthers and #FinishStrong #TraitsofaBRAVE #BePassionate
