Meet Lacie Conover - the CISD Superintendent's Star Student for February 2017

How long have you attended Community ISD?
I have been a part of Community ISD since day 1. I am proud to say that I have been a part of an amazing school district since kindergarten, 11 years.
What are your parents' names?
I am blessed to have the best and most supportive parents in the world. My mother Crystal Conover and my father David Conover.
Do you have any brothers and/or sisters that have/do attend Community ISD?
I have one brother named Dawson and he is 13 years old.
What grade are you in?
I am currently a Junior at Community High School (11th grade)
What extracurricular activities do you participate in and for how many years?
I have been a part of FCCLA and FFA for 3 years and a officer for 2 years. I have been a part of Student Council for 3 years. I have been a part of athletic training for 2 years. I have been playing softball for the school for 3 years. I have participated in Spelling U.I.L for 3 years. I started my first year of Science National Honor Society this year.
What is your GPA?
High School GPA 4.06388 College GPA- 3.38889
What is your favorite subject/class?
My favorite subject is math, Pre-Calculus
What is your plan after high school?
I plan to attend the University of North Texas or the University of Oklahoma and major in Elementary Education. I then plan on becoming a kindergarten teacher.
What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
Watching NCAA softball and doing community service projects or any help needed in the community.

Anything else you want us to know about you?
In all of the school organizations that I'm in I'm all about doing speaking events as well as community service projects. Being heard and being able to make this world a better place is the most important thing to me.
