Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction

Mr. Bryan Ladd

The CISD Curriculum & Instruction Department is dedicated to in sharing the responsibility for learning by empowering teachers through support and guidance to ensure the success of all students. Mr. Ladd is responsible for ensuring curriculum and instruction align to all state standards, providing professional development on research-based strategies, methods and technology integrations that are challenging and meet the needs of all students and assuring curriculum and professional development are aligned with all district initiatives. 

Mr. Ladd joined CISD in November 2021 after working the past 11 years in other districts. 

Prior to joining Brave Nation, Mr. Ladd worked for Lexington ISD as a Principal and Federal Programs Director from July 2018 to October 2021. During this time he served the students, families and community to provide a meaningful education for all students.

Mr. Ladd came to Lexington ISD after serving in Bastrop ISD as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. Mr. Ladd served in Bastrop ISD from August 2013 to July of 2018. During his time there, he was committed to supporting students in the classroom as a 4th grade teacher and then teachers as a district/campus instructional coach before ending his time in Bastrop as a campus administrator, where he was committed to the students and families of Lost Pines Elementary. 

Ladd began his career in Education as a 4th grade teacher for Smithville ISD. He was in Smithville from December 2012 to August 2013. 

Prior to education, Mr. Ladd worked as a Youth/Worship Pastor for The Gathering in Sulphur Springs, TX and then Lake Pointe Church after The Gathering joined the Lake Pointe Church ministries as a satellite campus. 

Ladd is 2001 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School. Ladd received his Bachelor's of Science from Texas A&M - Commerce, his Master's from Concordia University Texas in Educational Leadership, and most recently completed his Superintendent certification from Lamar University. 

Bryan Ladd is married to the former Katharine Abild, a Texas A&M Aggie Alumni. They have two daughters, Karlye and Katelyn that are a part of Brave Nation. The family enjoys spending time in any Central Texas river with their two dogs, Beau and Boomer.
