CHS Assistant Principal

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Samantha Switzler

My name is Samantha Switzler and I have been in education for going on 11 years.

I started my teaching career in the state of California as a Physical Education and AVID Teacher. While I was teaching I coached both Volleyball and Softball where I received league coach of the year in 2014. My passion for coaching came from my passion for sports. I played softball at Sonoma State University where I received my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. After receiving my Bachelors, I decided that teaching was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I wanted to help young people be successful. I went to Dominican University of California where I received my Single Subject Teaching Credential.

After teaching, an administrative opportunity came about where I was able to become the Activities/ Athletic Director. With administrative responsibilities came my next college adventure where I received an administrative credential from Sacramento State University. After I completed my Administrative credential I decided to become an Assistant Principal. I was an Assistant Principal for 2 years before moving to the state of Texas with my husband, Justin, and my 5 year old son, Ryder. We are over the moon to be a part of the Community ISD family where I feel that I can make an impact on youth and help support teachers in this unforeseen adventure.
