Welcome to Brave Nation!

I am excited to serve as the principal at Community High School this school year. This is my 23rd year in education. After earning my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Texas A&M Commerce, I served as a 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 8th grade teacher in Cooper ISD and Garland ISD. I returned to Texas A&M Commerce to complete my Master's in Educational Administration and have served as a campus principal for 13 years in Garland ISD and 2 years in Chapel Hill ISD.

My husband, Carey, is a History teacher and head baseball coach at Naaman Forest High School in Garland ISD. We have two beautiful daughters and an awesome son. Molly attends CHS and she will be a Junior this year. Mattie will be in 8th grade at Williams Middle School and Ty will be a 6th grader at Hartman Elementary in Rockwall ISD. It’s not easy keeping up with schedules from three different school districts but somehow we make it work!

Community High School is committed to the district vision of inspiring others to Believe, Lead, Unite, and Excel. Our theme this year, Build the Blue, is a reminder to us all that we are working to build students that are academically prepared for the future, responsible and ethical citizens, and effective communicators and problem solvers.

We believe we are partners in every child's educational experience and that it takes all of us working together to ensure that our students are reaching and achieving their fullest potential. We love your children and can't wait to enjoy this school year with all of you! We invite you and encourage you to be our partner every step of the way.

Come Experience the BLUE, you won’t be disappointed!
