Michelle Clark

My name is Michelle Clark; I am the computer teacher here at NeSmith Elementary.

I grew up in Parker, Texas and moved to Lavon in 2003. My husband Calvin and I have been married since 2000. We have a son Tyler, who is a 2020 Community High School Graduate and is now attending classes at Collin College. We also have a daughter Ashtyn, who is attending Community High School this year as a Freshmen. I was a stay at home mom volunteering here at NeSmith when it opened in 2008 as the PTO President. When my daughter started kindergarten, I wanted to be able to work, but still have the same schedule as my children, so I worked in a pre-k program for a private school in Rockwall. I was lucky to find a position the following year at NeSmith and I have been here ever since. This is my 10th year teaching and I love it! I have worked in PreK/PPCD, in the library and now in the computer lab. As when I was in the library, I see all classes from PreK through fifth grade, so I see all the kids at NeSmith. The educational goals I set for my students in computer include teaching them how to better use technology in their daily life, and learn how to be a safe and reasonable digital citizen online. We have fun and learn a lot about technology and I truly believe the kids enjoy themselves in my class.

I am currently expanding my education at WGU Texas.
