Hi to all! I am so excited to start my 10th year teaching and my 5th year here in Community ISD! This year I have the priviledge of teaching 2nd grade! This is a great place to be and I am so excited to grow and learn with your child this year!
Let me tell you a little about myself, I married my high school sweetheart in 2008 and we have 2 beautiful children together. Rhett is our 6 year old son and will attend McClendon Elementary for first grade, and Tenley is our 4 year old daughter who will attend NeSmith Elementary for Pre-K, we also have 2 dogs named Hank and Henry. I graduated college from the great University of Arkansas and absolutely love the Razorbacks! Woo Pig Sooie! Go Hogs!
Upon graduation, I decided to follow my heart and my mother in law's advice and go into teaching! My mother in law was also my high school elementary education and human development teacher and she saw something in me in high school that showed her I was meant to be a teacher! She was oh so right, and I realized my calling to impact children's lives the first time I walked into my new classroom position! I feel my purpose is to be a light for my children and to be someone who makes them feel important, valued, and loved!
I am available Mon. Tues. and Thurs. during my conference time from 1:45-2:45 or after school from 3:15-3:45.
