Mark Arzate

My name is Mark Arzate and I am so excited and humbled with the opportunity to continue teaching and coaching in the Brave Nation for the 2018-19 school year. I am teaching 6th and 7th grade Social Studies as well as coaching football, basketball, and track.  This year marks my 4th year coaching and teaching.

I am a native of San Angelo, Texas and a graduate of San Angelo Central High School. After graduating high school, I completed a semester of college at Sul Ross State University.  Soon after, I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.  I completed a four year enlistment and decided to finish my degree.  I am a proud 1998 graduate of Angelo State University where I earned a BA in Government and received my officer commission through the ROTC program. Additionally, I completed my Masters of Military Art and Science degree from Air University during a distinguished 20-year military career in the U.S. Air Force. I was able to obtain an alternative teaching certification through Texas A&M-Commerce in June of 2016. I am blessed with my beautiful wife Delinda and have two children Madison 17 and Anthony 14.  My family and I are proud to call Lavon home.

My teaching philosophy is that ALL children are lifelong learners and must understand the significance of their responsibilities in their future aspirations.

My tutorial time is from 7:45 - 8:15 AM Friday.  The best way to contact me is through email.
