Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor of Science in Education Major: Vocational Home Economics Minor: Spanish
My name is Anna Dyson, and I am in my sixth year of teaching Spanish here at Community High School. This is my fifteenth year of teaching Spanish. I have three daughters, three sons-in-law, and 4 grandchildren. I am from the great state of Indiana, and graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in Education. My major was vocational home economics, and my minor was Spanish.
After college graduation, I joined the Peace Corps. I lived, and worked in Colombia, South America during my tenure there. It was a wonderful experience. It gave me the opportunity to use the Spanish language every day, to experience a different culture, and meet many wonderful friends. I decided to be a Spanish teacher because I realized the value of learning, knowing, and using a second language. I want my students to be able to fulfill their dreams. I hope to instill in them the value of learning a second language.
My tutoring times are Mondays after school from 3:55 to 4:25, Tuesdays before school from 7:45 to 8:15 and the second half of mega lunch on Thursdays (from 11:20 to 11:50).
