Substitute Teach in the Brave Nation

• Orientation for substitute teachers is held twice yearly (fall and spring) with additional dates as needed. Candidates for substitute teaching must attend an orientation session. Substitute teachers must submit digital fingerprints and the cost for this procedure is $47.95. If a candidate has completed an educational fingerprint background check at another school district or educational entity, they may not have to pay to complete again.

  • Certified substitutes earn $105 per day (must provide proof of certification)
  • Substitutes with a bachelors degree or higher earn $95 per day (must provide transcript)
  • The daily rate for uncertified substitutes is $85 per day (high school diploma required and a copy must be submitted)
