Professional Development in Community ISD

Community ISD is dedicated to the professional growth of our staff members and shares the responsibility for learning by empowering teachers through support and guidance to ensure the success of all students.

Professional Development Requirements

Annually, all CISD certified instructional professional staff members are required to obtain 30 credit hours based the CISD PD Plan. TEA requires that all standard teacher certifications require 150 hours of continuing professional education (CPE) over a 5 year period. Based on that requirement, teachers will meet that criterion by completing the CISD Professional Development Plan.
