Ms. Amy Smith
The Community ISD Board of Trustees, by unanimous vote, approved the hiring of Amy Smith as the Director of Child Nutrition on Monday, July 31, 2023 in a special called meeting.
Ms. Smith comes to Brave Nation from Plano ISD, where she served as the Assistant Director of Nutritional Services. Before Plano, she served as an operations and nutrition coordinator in Denton ISD. She has also worked as a registered dietician and a food production manager and proctor/instructions certification.
Ms. Smith graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Science with an emphasis in dietetics, and completed her Master’s of Science in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University in 2018.
