Brave of the Week - Paisley McKinney - December 1-5
Nomination from Katy Robinson, McClendon Elementary:
Paisley has shown all the Traits of a Brave by being a leader in the classroom, having the courage to sing (the National Anthem at the stadium and during the 4th grade fine arts show), and being a great friend.

Words cannot begin to describe how I am feeling right now about Ms. Hardaway. She is the true definition of Traits of a Brave. Every single day, she pours her heart into these students—lifting their spirits, speaking life into them, and building confidence where it has been shaken.
When she notices a student who is discouraged, overwhelmed, or simply not themselves, she doesn’t walk past it. She steps in with wisdom, compassion, and a gentle strength that reminds them that they are capable, valued, and seen. She encourages them to rise above challenges, to believe in who they are, and to push forward with resilience.
Ms. Hardaway is more than an educator—she is a mentor, a supporter, and a steady source of light on even the hardest days. Her presence changes the atmosphere. Her passion inspires growth. Her belief in her students unlocks courage they didn’t know they had.
To say she embodies what it means to be a Brave is an understatement. She lives it, models it, and shares it with every student who crosses her path.
