Veronica Conley - Week 14 - November 10-14

Brave of the Week - Veronica Conley - November 10-14

Nomination from Jackie Morovick, CISD Finance:

I want to nominate Veronica Conley for Brave of the Week. She exhibits all the traits of a Brave. She is generous with her time, always ready to help others. Passionate about all she does to support everyone in Brave Nation. She's humble and doesn't realize how absolutely amazing she is. Lastly, she is so wise.
She has transitioned smoothly into her role as an Accounts Payable Specialist. She has learned the policies and procedures so quickly. Her professionalism when dealing with Vendors and Staff is delightful. She is always willing to help anyone with anything, not just within our Finance Office but district-wide. All of the things she does, she does with a smile on her face, never complains, and shares her quick wit and humor. She is a blessing as both a teammate and a member of Brave Nation!

Don’t forget to nominate a Brave for next week’s honors! We reveal our winner on the Community ISD Facebook page and here on our website every Thursday at 8 a.m.

Why are you nominating this person?

Xander, Nebyu, Rylan and Marley are the Community High School Audio Video interns. They have exhibit passion throughout the football season as they have been responsible for every live stream of the football games. They have packed equipment, arrived early, stayed late, and traveled with the team to away games. The livestream would not have been possible without them and Community High School and District greatly appreciates their time and dedication.

Which Trait was this person exhibiting?

Passionate

Why are you nominating this person?

Mrs. Romo is one of the people who students nor parents may always enjoy but her role is a vital one. She is one of the assistant principals at Edge Middle School, and is in charge of behaviors.

We are currently teaching my son how to transition from life skills to inclusion and hopefully by the end of the year resource. If you know my son, you may already love him, he has those big doe eyes and can get you to buy ice from an Eskimo.

Mrs. Romo has been working with me and his teachers to get him to the place where he needs to be, I see her doing this not only with my son and his special needs, but all the children. I have nominated her because far often we usually forget about those admin who make these tough decisions to better our school, and help guide our children to become functional members of society.

She is always with a smile on her face, and giving hugs to those who may need it, but when correction is needed she will also make sure to do so.

She is a GREAT leader!

Our amazing PTO has done a fantastic job bringing fun and family together this year! The Fall Festival had it all — a petting zoo, rock climbing wall, bounce houses, trunk-or-treats, food, games, and more. It was a wonderful night for families to connect and make memories!

And they haven't stopped there! The PTO is already planning grade-level parties, a special holiday surprise, monthly Snack Shacks to support 5th grade, and treats for our staff.

We are deeply grateful to our dedicated parents who generously give their time, energy, and heart to support our students and staff. They truly embody the Blue and Gold spirit that makes McClendon such a special place!

A'Narria (AJ) Johnson is so incredibly generous with her time! So often she shows up to work concessions with a smile on her face, ready to work. Even on nights when she hasn't signed up for a shift, she will pop in to see if we need help--volleyball, basketball, football--you name it. AJ is truly such a joy to be around.
