Why are you nominating this person?
Ms. McDorman was so generous with her time, despite having so little time to spare as the first day of school approached. At orientation, she connected with our son and was sure to remember his name and reconnect with him before we left that night. The next day, she learned of some recent events in our lives and decided to call me and connect to ensure I knew our son would have a great year as a new to the district student. This really warmed my heart! At back to school bash, she connected with our son again! He was so proud that she remembered him, and knew how to spell his name correctly! She asked about the books he had just bought at book fair and listened diligently while he chatted in a very busy room. All of these small moments made a huge impact on our son and our family. We were able to drop him off for his first day of middle school in a new city and have confidence he would be safe and loved! Thank you Ms. McDorman!

Why are you nominating this person?
Megan has done such an amazing job in her new role as the Director of Finance. She always goes out of her way to be as helpful as she possibly can and is one of the most humble and kind people I work with. She is very knowledgeable about all things Finance and is kind and patient when we have questions, and sometimes there are many! Megan is a breath of fresh air for all of us that work closely with the Finance Department and I am excited to see all the great things she does for our district in the future!

Why are you nominating this person?
Josh Jones generously gave his time on the morning of Tuesday, August 13 when he helped in the morning drop-off line at McClendon Elementary school. He dropped his own child off, then saw that there was a need, and immediately joined the line. He spent the entire 30 minutes helping unload students from their cars and safely guiding them into the building.

Why are you nominating this person?
He has an obvious heart for kids, especially the students he's working with at the Braves Center. In spending time in his facility the first day, I was able to witness the impact he has on the staff and students alike. He is exuberant and engaging, greeting everyone and getting them where they need to be efficiently and with kindness. I challenge anyone to walk away from an interaction with Mr. Brinkley without a smile on their face!
