Dillon Hart - Brave of the Week - March 31-April 4

Brave of the Week - March 31 - April 4 - Dillon Hart

Our Brave of the Week is … Dillon Hart of Braves Soccer! The full nomination from Mr. Chris Mycoskie of CISD Communications is copied below.

"At the end of the Braves' soccer playoff win over North Dallas last Wednesday, instead of immediately going to celebrate with his teammates, Dillon went to comfort a distraught North Dallas player. The Bulldogs' student-athlete was upset and lying on the ground. Dillon helped pick him up and hugged him. He then approached a lot of the other North Dallas players and offered encouragement."

Thank you to Mr. Mycoskie for the nomination, and congratulations to Dillon Hart on being the Brave of the Week!

Why are you nominating this person?

Mrs. Brown has been such a gift to our son this year. We are new to CISD and came from a place where people really knew our child well. Transitioning was very scary for us, but we have been so impressed with everyone at CISD and Community Trails - especially Mrs. Brown!

From the very beginning, she showed passion, generosity, and wisdom when interacting with our child. She was very keen to notice exactly who our child is, how he communicates, what makes him anxious, and what helps him feel comfortable. She is a great communicator, encourager, and teacher. She has spent this year building up our son with her words and her actions. We are so thankful for everything she does each and every day. Thank you Mrs. Brown for being an advocate for all students and doing the precious work of loving our students!

Why are you nominating this person?

Cole has been Jacob’s “best buddy” since the beginning of the school year. He helps Jacob in and out of school. He is very patient with him and understands that he thinks differently. I’m so happy that we have this program at the middle school. Cole is the type of student who needs to be recognized for his great leadership at his campus and in the community.

Which Trait was this person exhibiting?

Wise

Why are you nominating this person?

O'Mayan is one of the partners in our Partner PE class. The students were playing outside in the courtyard today, when a student O'Mayan was playing with started to have a medical episode. O'Mayan stayed calm and went directly to a staff member to let them know what was happening. We are so proud of how O'Mayan handled this situation. He was calm, mature, and WISE. He knew exactly what to do in this situation. Thank you, O'Mayan!
