The Braves of the Week are … the staff at the Braves Center! In her nomination, Mikala Welch wrote the following: “The Braves Center Team generously and passionately hosted an amazing Valentine's event for our students last week. They went above and beyond to build up our students, ensuring that they felt seen, valued, and included. Their kindness and commitment to our students is what makes Brave Nation so great.”

Laniya is one of our amazing bus drivers for Community ISD.
Laniya had to miss a day of driving do to personal business and I was the sub driver for her route that day. I was blown away by so many strong attributes I saw that day of sub driving. From how well her bus was organized and how clean it was but it also shows in her students as well.
Everyone of her students greeted me kindly, knew where their seats were, and followed all safety aspects of riding a bus. This speaks volumes to me as to how much dedication and time Laniya puts into teaching and being involved with each one of her students even for the short time that she is with them each day .
I can't express how much Laniya deserves this recognition but also so do all of her students that are a part of Route # 406 ! Great examples of what it is to be a Brave!

Whether she’s delivering materials to classrooms, organizing events, or even cleaning and organizing storage spaces, Trina’s selflessness shines through in her tireless efforts. Tiffany Johnson answered my phone call one morning when I was needing help. She knew exactly what she was supposed to do and executed the task perfectly. She was polite and responsive. I received my help very quickly. America needs more Public Servants like Tiffany Johnson. She deserves this nomination as she could not have handled the situation better.

I'm nominating Adam Arteaga because he brings so much passion to our team as the new football coach.
He always goes the extra mile to make sure our players are motivated and improving. His fresh ideas have already made a big difference in our practices and games.
Even though Adam's family recently moved, and he's been away from them, he's remained incredibly involved and dedicated to the team.
He’s put in countless hours to ensure everyone is getting the best training and support possible.

I would like to nominate Owen because he is passionate about being a Brave he is involved in many on campus activities along with sports as well. He works hard to maintain good grades, a positive role model and just have Brave spirit. Owen continues to push to be active and to be present in all activities or events the school has. Owen has a passion that I have never seen before, he is driven to be there and volunteer for anything he can help with.
