Rachel Zahradnik - Week 23 - February 2-6

Brave of the Week - Rachel Zahradnik - February 2-6, 2026

Nomination from Amaree Saucedo, CTMS student:

"Mrs. Zahradnik works patiently with kids who struggle with math, meeting them where they are without judgment. She never rushes them or makes them feel small for not understanding right away. Instead, she listens, encourages questions, and celebrates even the smallest progress.

Mrs. Zahradnik stays humble about her own knowledge and is always willing to try a new way of explaining things. Her calm presence helps kids feel safe enough to keep trying. Through her steady support, they begin to believe in themselves again."

Don’t forget to nominate a Brave for next week's honors! We reveal our winner on the Community ISD Facebook page and here on our website every Thursday at 8 a.m.

Encore! Encore!

Mr. Brody Ross, Ellis Elementary music teacher, put on a show to remember on 1/22 with the 2nd grade Beatles showcase. Lights, audio, video, instruments, and FOG?! This guy knows how to channel passion into PERFORMANCE! The kids were ALL engaged and participating- he has clearly been doing a fantastic job of planting the seed of music in his classroom! Adults and children in the audience were captivated! The hard work of inspiring an entire GRADE LEVEL and introducing them to classic artists like The Beatles should not go unnoticed! Mr. Ross deserves a round of STANDING ovation!!
