Brave of the Week - Victoria Gomez - January 12-16
Nomination from Mrs. Brandee Murphy, Ellis Elementary Educator:
A classmate shared that due to hardships, she did not get very much for Christmas this year. Victoria took the time and effort to create a hand-drawn Christmas card and put together a gift bag with various items from her own home to give to her classmate. She went above and beyond to show kindness and generosity to her peer.
Don’t forget to nominate a Brave for next week's honors! We reveal our winner on the Community ISD Facebook page and here on our website every Thursday at 8 a.m.

Which Trait was this person exhibiting?
Humble
Why are you nominating this person?
Ki is a quiet individual and sometimes falls to the wayside because of this. He blends in. He doesn't make a lot of noise and he does his work. He makes amazing grades both at the high school level and in his dual credit classes. He is humble, generous and wise. But I chose humble because his humility inspires me. He places the needs of others before his own and offers support without seeking credit or recognition. What makes Ki truly remarkable is his quiet strength. He is a true leader, maybe not through accolades or titles, but through action. He remains grounded through every twist and turn life may throw at him. What some may see as a passive trait, I see as a beautiful life choice. I believe Ki is a shining example of what it means to be humble and I wholeheartedly recommend him as Brave of the Week.
