Brave of the Week - Kayden Lloyd - January 5-9
Nomination from Mrs. Alicia Young, Assistant Principal at Community High School:
I think Kayden is incredibly deserving of being named Brave of the Week. When he noticed a fellow student having a medical event, he acted quickly, potentially saving the life of the other student. Thank you Kayden for putting others first and for caring about your fellow Braves!
Don’t forget to nominate a Brave for next week's honors! We reveal our winner on the Community ISD Facebook page and here on our website every Thursday at 8 a.m.

Generous
Why are you nominating this person?
I am nominating Cadence Da'Silva because she has been so generous these past months we've been friends she's always sharing, helping, and comforting people when needed for example I was really hungry one day because I hadn't eaten lunch and she shared her food with me.
She's also been such a great support buddy when I was at my lowest and needed a place to talk about stuff. She brings a smile to my face every time I see her. She is one of my favorite reasons to go to school. That is why I am nominating Cadence Da'Silva.

Why are you nominating this person?
Mr. Pfister is everything you could want as a band director. He works tirelessly to ensure every single band student excels at their individual instrument and can still play as a part of a bigger whole group. He works really well with the other band directors to ensure all secondary students get good band training. He truly loves what he does and is very good at what he does. Keep up the great work.

Generous
Why are you nominating this person?
On Monday, I was helping a mom get her 8th grade daughter enrolled. The student and I walked into Trails and were greeted by several staff members. We had several gracious employees helping us. Mrs. Porter took us to her office so that we could get everything figured out. Mrs. Porter was extremely nice and helpful through the process. She went above and beyond giving us help and advice on many things. I left and Mrs Porter got the student everything she needed to be successful for day 1 of the second semester. She also checked up on the student and with me throughout the day. As a CISD alumni, I appreciate the compassion and care she showed to the new student. Thank you Mrs. Porter and all of Trails office staff.
