2026-27: The Community CODE

In 2026-27, our theme is the Community CODE - Character, Ownership, Drive, and Excellence.
As the District continues to grow at a rapid pace, the Board of Trustees has continually been considering what the future of Community ISD looks like - are we a one high school district that eventually has a “mega campus,” or do we start moving towards multiple high schools that still maintain a distinct Community ISD identity? Guided by the members of our Task Force for Growth, the Board has chosen to move towards multiple high schools as the next step for us.
With that in mind, Community ISD will begin transitioning away from the use of “Brave Nation” and the “Traits of a Brave” at the District level, with a new focus on the four identity pillars we want all students, families, and staff in Community ISD to build on - Character, Ownership, Drive, and Excellence. The “Traits of a Brave” will continue to be the character traits our students and staff should exemplify, but they will be folded into our “Character” pillar.
Also, we’ll be asking for your nominations for “Community CODE Keepers.” This will replace our long-running “Brave of the Week” honors, and winners will be announced on Community ISD social media every Thursday morning during the school year.
