Six Admin Approved in June Board Meeting
The CISD Board of Trustees, by unanimous vote, approved the following people for administrative positions for the 2025-26 school year.
Cedric Newton - Assistant Principal, Community Trails MS
Education:
- M. Ed Special Education: Texas State University, August 2007
- B.S. FCS Child Development: Southwest Texas State University, December 2001
Career:
- Over 20 years of experience in education
- Previously served as the Assistant Principal for Tyler ISD
- Has taught special education for Plano ISD, Garland ISD and Hays ISD
Amber Swindle - ARD Administrator
Education:
- Master of Education in Administration: Lamar University, 2018
- Master of Leadership: Lamar University, 2010-2011
- Bachelors in Early Childhood Development: Dallas Baptist University, 2004
Career:
- Over 20 years of experience in education
- Currently serving as the Ard Administrator for Rockwall ISD
- Previously worked for Richardson ISD and Duncanville ISD
Alicia Young - Assistant Principal, Community HS
Education:
- Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: East Texas A&M University, 2017
- Bachelor of Science in History & Political Science: Stephen F Austin University, 2001

- Currently works an Adjunct Professor for Collin College and teaches history for Wylie ISD

Steven McBrayer - Dean of CTE, Community HS
