New Administrators in 2023

Below is a short bio for each of these new administrators!
Marci Kinch, Principal of NeSmith Elementary
On Monday, May 15, 2023, the Community ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the hiring of Mrs. Marci Kinch as the new principal of NeSmith Elementary School, effective after the upcoming retirement of current NeSmith principal Ms. Stacey Kluttz.
Mrs. Kinch has over 20 years of experience in public education, including most recently serving as an assistant principal of Rosemeade Elementary in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University (Bachelor's) and Lubbock Christian University (Master's).
Melanie Edwards, Principal of McClendon Elementary
Mrs. Melanie Edwards was approved as the principal of McClendon Elementary at a special called meeting of the CISD Board of Trustees on June 8, 2023.
Mrs. Edwards is starting her 26th year in K-12 public education, and her seventh year in Brave Nation. She most recently served as an assistant principal of McClendon Elementary, and in 2021-22 served as the instructional coach at Leland Edge Middle School. She taught 4th & 5th Grade at NeSmith Elementary from 2017 through 2021. She began her teaching career in Lubbock, Texas in 1997 at Nat Williams Elementary.
Terry Buse, Director of Transportation
Mr. Terry Buse was approved by the CISD Board of Trustees as the Director of Transportation at a special called meeting on June 8, 2023. He brings over 20 years of supervisory and managerial experience in the commercial transportation and freight industry.
Stacy Lindeman, Director of Special Education
At a special called meeting of the CISD Board of Trustees on June 8, 2023, Mrs. Stacy Lindeman was approved as the Director of Special Education for Community ISD. She brings 24 years of experience to the role, including a previous stint in Brave Nation.
Most recently Mrs. Lindeman has served as an assistant principal in Rockwall ISD. Before that role, she served from 2013-2016 as an assistant principal for NeSmith Elementary in Community ISD. She came to Community ISD from Mesquite ISD, where she was a special education teacher and department head. Before Mesquite ISD, she served as a speech therapist in Kemp ISD.
Mrs. Lindeman holds a Bachelors of Science in Speech Pathology/Audiology from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a Masters of Education Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
