Homecoming 2026 - A Brave New World

This year's homecoming theme is A Brave New World!
Celebrating the 79th anniversary of our district and the change we’ve seen in the last five years, this year’s Homecoming Theme is “A Brave New World.”
Dress-Up Themes for the Week:
- Monday - Out of This World
- Anything space or alien themed. Must be in dress code, and no toy guns are allowed!
- Tuesday - The World of Mouse
- Any Disney-owned property (princesses, Pixar, Star Wars, etc.), or any cartoon or fantasy themed outfit - must be in dress code!
- Wednesday - Game World
- Video game characters - must be in dress code, and no toy guns are allowed!
- Thursday - Braves World
- Braves colors or athletics gear - must be in dress code!

- Monday, September 14 - Homecoming Parade - 7 pm - Braves Stadium
- Friday, September 18 - Varsity Volleyball Homecoming Match - CHS vs. Lovejoy - 5 pm - CISD Athletic Complex
- Friday, September 18 - Alumni Reunion - 5:30 pm - Edge Cafeteria
- Friday, September 18 - Varsity Football Homecoming Game - CHS vs. Azle - 7 pm - Braves Stadium
- Saturday, September 19 - Homecoming Dance - 7 pm to 10 pm - CHS Cafeteria
PARADE DETAILS:
The theme for this year is "A Brave New World." We encourage every float to be decorated in a world other than our own - Out of This World, Disney, Video Games, etc.; or stick with our school colors - Blue and Gold! The parade will run through the Nevada campuses of Community ISD, staying on District property the entire time and off of the public roads. This allows for better traffic management, and a safer parade route. The map below highlights the route the parade will take, and where Braves fans can set up their lawn chairs. The parade will start at 7 PM on September 14, and will be our only District-wide Homecoming event that evening.
