PARADE DETAILS:

The theme for this year is "Braves Ride Again". We encourage every float to be decorated in a western theme, or stick with our school colors - Blue and Gold! The parade will run through the Nevada campuses of Community ISD, staying on District property the entire time and off of the public roads. This allows for better traffic management, and a safer parade route. The map below highlights the route the parade will take, and where Braves fans can set up their lawn chairs. The parade will start at 6:45 PM and will be immediately followed by a community wide pep rally in Braves Stadium. The event should conclude by approximately 9 PM.

Homecoming Map - Chairs

This map shows the areas that Brave Nation students, parents/guardians, and staff will be able to place their lawn chairs - or stand - during the parade. The blue areas are general admission, and the purple area is a reserved space for elderly or disabled attendees. Another map follows below that shows where attendees of the Homecoming Parade can park.

Parking Map

The areas marked in purple on this map above are general admission parking, and the area marked in orange is reserved for the elderly and disabled.

PARADE FLOATS

If you would like to have a float in the parade, this is open to the public and free to join. However, every group/parade entry MUST register by completing the form below, and there is a cap of 45 total floats (meaning 45 vehicles and 45 trailers). Each float entry is for ONE vehicle and ONE trailer, at max. Organizations can have multiple floats, but must register for EACH float (one vehicle and one trailer) that they are entering.

Starting this year no candy will be allowed to be thrown. This will prevent children from running out into the parade route like in past years to grab candy.

Sign up for the parade by Monday, September 9. Float entries are first-come, first-served.
