Hale Repeats, Sanchez-Ortiz Earns First All-State Honors

Jayden Hale and Briana Sanchez-Ortiz Qualify for All-State Band

Marking the ninth and 10th time that a Community High School student has done so, Jayden Hale and Briana Sanchez-Ortiz advanced to the Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) All-State bands.

Hale, a senior, has now earned his third All-State honor on the French Horn. Sanchez-Ortiz, a junior, earned her first All-State honor on the clarinet. Both students will perform as part of the Texas Music Educators Association conference in San Antonio next month.

You can catch all the CISD bands in their pre-UIL performances on Tuesday, March 3, at the CHS Auditorium.

Listed below are the 10 Community High School students who qualified for ATSSB bands, the instrument they played, and the years they qualified.
