Join Us For the Dodson Grand Opening!

Announcing the grand opening of the newest campus in Brave Nation - Mary Lou Dodson Elementary School! Join us on Thursday, July 20 at 6 pm for a ribbon cutting ceremony, and stick around for tours of the facility starting at 6:30 pm.

The ceremony will feature an invocation from FBC Lavon's Brad Patterson, a few words from Mrs. Dodson's daughter, Le Anne Dodson-Schilling, and a short speech from our superintendent, Dr. Tonya Knowlton. We'll close the ceremony with the cutting of the ribbon by Mrs. Dodson-Schilling, Dr. Knowlton, and the CISD Board of Trustees. We invite attendees to grab a cookie and a water bottle, supplied by Pogue Construction, and then take a photo with the ceremonial scissors! Sign-up slots for the tour are available at the "Signup Genius" button below. These tours will be led by our Dodson staff, and are first-come, first-serve.
