On Monday, March 25, 2024, the Community ISD Board of Trustees officially approved the contracts of CISD district and campus administrators for the 2024-25 school year.

With this approval come a few changes of campus leadership for the upcoming school year. We've covered these changes in detail below.

First, as we previously announced in February 2024, Dr. Amber Hope has been approved as the first principal of Community Trails Middle School. She will be joined in CTMS leadership by Assistant Principal Dusty Holley, who has previously served in the same role at Leland Edge Middle School for the last two years. Community Trails will also have an Associate Principal, who has not yet been hired.

Moving from NeSmith Elementary to Ellis Elementary, Mrs. Marci Kinch will take the helm of the newest CISD elementary school. She will be joined by Assistant Principal Molly Porter, who has served as an assistant principal at Roderick Elementary for the last two years.

And the final move of the 2024-25 school year is Mr. Johnathan Clifton, who will now serve Brave Nation as the principal of NeSmith Elementary School. Mr. Clifton has served as the campus administrator and principal of the Braves Center the past two years.

A new administrator for Braves Center will also be hired before students return to campus in August 2024.
