Meet the 2019-2020 NES Teacher of the Year: Mrs. Stacy Crawford
I am currently a Dyslexia Therapist at NeSmith. I earned my Bachelor's degree at Texas A&M Commerce in Elementary Education (1-8). I received my Dyslexia training from the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas.
My husband Robert and I have 4 children that call Community ISD home. Melinda is 2017 Community High School graduate. Melinda is attending Texas A&M Commerce to pursue a degree in elementary education. Robert is in 10th grade at Community High School. My twins, Sydney and Samantha, are 6th graders at Edge Middle School.
My passion for working with students with learning differences comes from my family. All of my children are dyslexic. I not only wanted to learn how to help them be successful but also, help my students reach their full potential.
