PLEASE DO NOT OPEN AN ATTACHMENT WITH THE FOLLOWING EXTENSIONS:
.exe
.vbs
.pif
.bat
.lnk
.com
(You could see this as a link in the message rather than as an
attachment, i.e. http://www.amazon.com -- this link would be OK)
An example of a Netscape email message with an attachment appears below as the
illustration. Notice the name of the file that is attached is nsabppin.exe
It may also appear with two extensions such as nsabppin.doc.exe
This file could definitely change your life—and not for the better!
SOLUTION:
1. CLOSE THE EMAIL MESSAGE IMMEDIATELY.
2. DELETE IT FROM YOUR INBOX.
3. DELETE IT FROM YOUR TRASH.
4. IF YOU OPENED THE ATTACHMENT, IMMEDIATELY SHUTDOWN YOUR
COMPUTER AND PREFORM A VIRUS CHECK ON YOUR COMPUTER.
