The Community Independent School District is proud to announce the beginning of the Community I.S.D. Education foundation. This is a way for our local public education to be enhanced through a broad based system of interested alumni, parents, teachers, vendors, local businesses, industries and the community.

I am contacting you to ask for your support for the Community I.S.D. Education Foundation. This is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, the financial support received for the foundation will help to inspire students to pursue excellence and empower teachers with the additional tools necessary to create exemplary learning experiences.

The funds will be put in a principal account to grow and provide enhanced learning opportunities for which traditional funding is not available. We hope that the students and teachers in Community I.S.D. will be impacted by the educational foundation funding for years to come. Teachers and campuses will be given the opportunity to apply for grants from the foundation, as well as some scholarships for our graduates.

A receipt for all donations will be provided for your tax purposes.

GREAT NEWS!!!! - At the Monday, January 15, 2007, Community ISD Education Foundation meeting two companies were present to present to the foundation board. First was Jose Robles representing Mario Sinacola and Sons, they presented the foundation board with the proposal to lay all the bricks at the high school stadium and Mr. Robles said Pavestone has agreed to provide all the fill brick. Also presenting to the foundation board was Marsha Newberry, representing Paul Cheng and the Grand Heritage housing development, they presented the foundation board with a check for $25,000.00 in support of the education foundation goals. The foundation wants to thank these individuals and all the other contributors thus far, together we will support students dreams.

We will shut down brick sales (January 31st) for the first cutting. You still have time to be remembered as a supporter of the Community ISD Education Foundation. Hurry and get your order in before the cutoff date!!!
