Paige Martin, Lead Counselor

Howdy! My name is Paige Thomason Martin, and I have over 17 years of experience as a teacher, coach, and counselor in Texas public education. I have been a counselor at CHS since July 2013. I was promoted to Lead Counselor in January 2014, and I currently serve as the Campus Testing Coordinator, AP Coordinator, 504 Coordinator and I oversee the College and Career Readiness Center.

I am a proud graduate of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '88; Whoop!!!! During my undergraduate studies, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. I returned to Texas A&M University in the late 90s to further my education and begin a career in education. After eight wonderful years in the classroom and on the court in the Bryan/College Station schools, I attended Sam Houston State University, where I received a Master of Arts in Counseling and became a certified Licensed Professional Counselor. It was here that I found my passion and began my career as a school counselor!

Outside of CHS, I love spending time with my three remarkable adult children. They are my pride and joy! I also enjoy traveling, watching and participating in various sports, gardening, and other outdoor activities. What a gift it is to live in such a beautiful world!

"Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do Good."

Heather Lincecum

Hello!  My name is Heather Lincecum and I am excited to be be returning to the counseling staff at Community High School this year!  I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1999 and, after a short stint in the moving business, began my teaching career in 2001.  I spent 14 years in the classroom teaching high school science and have worked with students at all levels.  I finished my master’s degree in counseling in December 2014 from Lamar University and have worked as a counselor since!

I am an educator because I love the daily rewards and challenges of  working with kids!  As a classroom teacher, I wanted a way to share my love of science with future generations and see the excitement in their face when they finally are able to understand how the world around them works!  After 10 years in the classroom I found myself acting as a mentor more than a teacher for most of my students and I thoroughly enjoyed helping them find a path for their future.  That is what led me to pursue my degree in school counseling and I find so much joy in helping students in the areas of academic success, emotional/social well-being and college/career readiness!

I have a beautiful daughter who will be starting 5th grade in Rockwall ISD.  She keeps me busy with all of her activities, the latest of which being Taekwondo!  If you see me at CHS activities  you will probably get the chance to meet her as well!
