This is my first year teaching at Community ISD. Before coming to NeSmith, I taught PreK with Dallas ISD for two years. I was also a librarian and a college instructor for several years before becoming an elementary school teacher. I have a bachelors of science degree in mass communication from East Central University, a masters of science in English from Texas A&M University - Commerce, and a masters of library science from the University of Oklahoma.
I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach PreK at NeSmith this year. I may be a bit biased, but I think PreK is the best grade. It is an amazing time of growth and new discoveries, and kids at this age have a love of learning that is inspiring.
My husband and I live on a tiny farm in Royse City with our two kids, Rollyne and Ariviston; our dog, Ginger; two pigs, Wilbur and Charlotte; and more chickens, roosters, and bees than we have named.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org and my conference period is from 1:15 pm - 2 pm each day.
