Mrs. Natalie Whitt
Hi! My name is Natalie Whitt and I teach 4th grade at McClendon Elementary! This is my third year teaching in Community ISD. It has been such a joy working here and getting to know all of the wonderful students and staff at McClendon. Though this is my third year at McClendon, I have been teaching for 13 years.
I may bleed blue and gold now but this wasn't always the case. I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I moved to Texas when I was in high school and graduated from Plano Senior High. After that, I attended Collin College and transferred to the University of Texas at Dallas to obtain my teaching degree. Throughout college, I worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional for Plano ISD. It was such a rewarding experience! This experience was the driving force behind my decision to become a teacher. It was during this time that I realized the impact I was having in the lives of children and I was only assiting a teacher. I thought to myself, "Just imagine what I could do for my students if I was the one making the lessons!" From that moment on, I was in the "kid business". I worked hard and graduated from college with honors. Upon graduation, I decided to broaden my horizon and accepted a position as a Kindergarten teacher at a private school. I truly enjoyed teaching Kindergarten! I loved being the first teacher who could instill a love of learning in their tiny minds. I learned a lot in my decade of teaching Kindergarten but my decision to make the transition to Community ISD was easy. I live in this community, my children attend these schools, and our future rests on the success of our students. I knew it was time to bring my talents to the place where I reside. I have loved this experience and I feel blessed to be a member of the Brave Nation.
As I said, I live in Nevada. I have an amazing husband, Archie, and two beautiful daughters, Gracie and Lyla. Both of our girls attend McClendon. I love being able to see their smiling faces in the hallway every day. We also attend many events within the community so if you see me out and about, be sure to come say hi.
In the event you may need to reach me with a question or concern, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
My conference time is from 10:30-11:30. I am available to meet during this time by appointment.
