The 82nd Texas Legislature passed Senate Bill 100 which authorized County Elections Administrators to decline to provide elections services to other political subdivisions, such as the District and the City, on the May uniform election date in even-numbered years.

Community ISD adopted a calendar that provides Optional Flexible Instructional Days.  Students who qualify will not be required to attend school on February 17, 2012.  Students who do not meet the requirements will be required to attend school on this day.  The campuses will focus on providing opportunities for improvement for those students.

Please join me in saying “THANK YOU” for everything that our Community ISD Board of Trustees does for this school district.  These individuals are passionate about the success of our students, as well as each employee.  Most people do not realize the amount of hours this group “volunteers” to serve the students of CISD.  These individuals are advocates for our children and have the best interests of children at heart, even when dealing with our most challenging issues in public education.  Please take a moment to recognize their dedication and service to Community ISD.  If you see any of them, feel free to pass along your appreciation.
