Important Athletics Information

The CHS Athletic Banquet will be held this Saturday, May 12th, in the CHS Cafeteria at 6pm.  Advance tickets are on sale now in the HS Office for $10 or $15 at the door.  Doors will open at 5:30pm on Saturday.  We hope that you can join us to honor our Braves and Lady Braves for their hard work and accomplishments!

The Community FFA Advisors and Officer Team would like to invite you to their 2012 Awards Banquet on Thursday, May 17th at 6:30 pm in the Community High School Cafeteria.  Tickets are available for $10 at the door.  All current year FFA members and CISD staff will receive complimentary admission. Please join us as we recognize the accomplishments of our students for the 2011-2012 school year.
Mrs. Jill Thomason Selected As New CMS Assistant Principal

Mrs. Thomason is an experienced administrator, serving as Assistant Principal at Western Hills High School in Fort Worth ISD. The move is really a family affair as Mrs. Thomason's husband, Jeff, just accepted the varsity boys basketball coaching position at Caddo Mills High School.  The Thomason family, with their three children, will be making plans to relocate soon. Please help welcome her to the district!
Community Education Foundation Grant
The staff and students of CISD thank the Board of the Community ISD Education Foundation. Thursday night they approved a motion to donate $12,000 towards the 1:1 iPad Pilot Program, Flipped Classroom Instruction, and other district technology initiatives. This year, the CISD Education Foundation decided to fund this district grant instead of individual teacher grants.  We appreciate the support of our Education Foundation. Remember when you support the foundation, you are actually supporting our kids.

B.Y.O.T. (Bring Your Own Technology)

During the last six-weeks period, your student may be informing you about an initiative through Community ISD known as B.Y.O.T. (Bring Your Own Technology).  This program encourages the instructional application of students’ personal technology devices such as electronic notebooks, e-readers, and smart phones.
